I think that unversal healthcare would be detrimental to the advancement of human medicine. Drug companies would tirelessly to develop a breakthrough drug or a cure for a disease because they know it would be a huge payout. Would they have such a large incentive if the government would be paying them?

Also, I heard that universal healthcare would result in everyone getting healthcare, but it would involve long lines. Everyone would get treated for cancer and not worry about the bill but they would have to wait 6 months for treatment.

What are your thoughts?

I am 25 years old and have been prescribed by my family doctor to 20mg of Adderall 3x per day. I have been at this dosage for nearly 3 years. I am starting to feel less social than when I first started the medication, I also find myself taking more than prescribed on tough days. If I don’t take it I get irritable and depressed, somedays I won’t get out of bed without it. At first the medicine changed my life for the better but now I feel like it’s making me reserved. I’ve also begun taking Ambien to sleep when I’m traveling for business and I think the insomnia is related to the Adderall. It’s getting to the point where i think I need to talk to a specialist, I haven’t seen my doctor in over a year but he still writes me the script every month. Doesn’t 60mg sound a bit high for a 25 year old male?
