Shifre asked:

Would I just finish the undergraduate degree and work in the field?

Would I do my PhD, do some essays (or books), and then apply for the job?

Do I need any experience in actually performing medicine in hospitals, or GP clinics?

I’d like to work as a doctor for 20 years then teach medicine, although I wouldn’t like to be a resident, I want to teach it via university to undergraduates.

Yeah basically, finish the degree and do your F1/ST etc. There are oppourtunities to work in medical schools as an anatomy demonstrator, clinical education fellow etc. after or during ST. If you wanted to be a lecturer then some form of postdoctoral degree would be useful, especially a PhD but not essential.
is a website for medical school students and applicants but I’ve seen some lecturers and admissions staff posting on their forums in the past so it might be worth asking there as they’ll be able to tell you how they got into their jobs.

I hope this helps!
