I am 25 years old and have been prescribed by my family doctor to 20mg of Adderall 3x per day. I have been at this dosage for nearly 3 years. I am starting to feel less social than when I first started the medication, I also find myself taking more than prescribed on tough days. If I don’t take it I get irritable and depressed, somedays I won’t get out of bed without it. At first the medicine changed my life for the better but now I feel like it’s making me reserved. I’ve also begun taking Ambien to sleep when I’m traveling for business and I think the insomnia is related to the Adderall. It’s getting to the point where i think I need to talk to a specialist, I haven’t seen my doctor in over a year but he still writes me the script every month. Doesn’t 60mg sound a bit high for a 25 year old male?
