The OCMS boys rocking out old school. This video is taken from the John Lair’s Renfro Valley CD/DVD soundtrack that accompanied the documentary of the same name. Not an easy thing to track down, but the CD also includes OCMS playing Train on the Island, Kitty Clyde, Bring Me Back My Blue-Eyed Boy, Keep Them Cold Icy Fingers Offa Me and Little Birdie, along with a lot of other old school (real old school) groups playing that old timey music. I could never figure out all the words in the 2nd verse before. thanks. Geez These Lyrics are awful. I know where and when they came from, and who wrote them. I understand,really, but these lyrics are an awful thing- wife beating and man Monkeys…Is it me or are Murder Ballads an easier sell than Spousal abuse and racism? It’s easier to shoot Sadie and bury Cory in song then it is to Beat them , maybe because the beating falls more in the realm of ‘it could happen’ ? just a thought.
