I just moved to East Sacramento and am looking for a recommendation for a family doctor or doctor of internal medicine (i.e., general doctor). Perhaps someone loves their doctor and can recommend him or her to me. The doctor doesn’t have to be in East Sacramento, but I wouldn’t want to travel more than 20 miles if possible.

Family physicians are specially trained in preventive medicine. Preventing a health problem is better than having to overcome one.

In addition to treating patients when they are sick, family physicians know which preventive services are needed for people at different ages and follow this schedule to help their patients stay healthy.

I think I might be allergic to my daughter’s new puppy. My skin itches in random places at random times or if I hold her, then my arm and wrist itch, or if she plays at my feet and jumps on my legs, then my legs and feet itch, or if I snuggle her under my chin, then my chin itches. I can’t bear the thought of not handling her, she’s too cute. I also can’t bear the thought of giving her away ’cause we’ve all fallen in love with her. She’s already a big part of the family. I do not take medications on a daily basis and don’t want to start. I only take the occasional headache medicine. I used to be allergic to cats when I was younger and I got over that ’cause now I have three indoor-only cats. I wonder if it’s possible that I might just get over this puppy allergy, too. Any ideas?

I am 21 yrs old and my family are Christian Scientists (no using medicine, no shots, no hospital, etc). I have been going to church since I was young but now I am starting to become unhappy with the way my religion acts. My parents force me to read our bible lesson every day and go to church every sunday in the hopes that I will eventually become ‘enlightened’ but in actuality it is only making me more bitter toward the religion. I would move away and start fresh but I don`t want to cut off all family bonds as I love my parents very much. What can I do?

PS:(People say that if you jack off a lot then you’ll get pimples. I jack of about 2-3 times a week. But I don’t think that is the reason. I eat really fatty foods and also my whole family has pimples.)

I had a question about the things in my dog’s ears a little bit ago. My dog is an American Eskimo/Siberian Husky mix, and an engorged tick fell out of his ears.

What should I do about it? He’s my family’s first dog, and my parents already don’t like him. @_@ Is there specific medicine I can buy?

I am currently three years into my undergraduate career and I am determined to become a medical profession in of the fields mentioned above, however; with my less than spectacular grades I’m not sure which route to follow. Due to a mediocre 3.5/4.0, I am compelled to look into Osteopathic Medicine, Dentistry or Optometry. Which is the best bet for a good career with financial security, enough with the family, and all that without regrets? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated because it very well may shape the future of my life. Thanks!!
