When I was editing this video for Don, I noticed that the wheel worked equally well in both directions.

yes, manifestation of Medicine Wheel is nature,,nature consistes 4elements as fire, water, air, earth + space..all elements are in man because aman also is manifestation of Medicine Wheel..All people are important,,because they are part of Medicine Wheel..sickess comes from rejection one of those colours,,cure comes from love all beings on your way through life

that is truly amazing because i did not know that. thank you and may the great spirit guide you.

A few years ago I was talking to a person who chose traditional Pagan ways for his spiritual quest. He told me about the circle with a cross in the middle as a Pagan symbol (adopted by the Christian faith. Both symbols (apparently) came about independant of the other and the directions were 90 degrees off from on another. I thought that was pretty amazing.

i am sorry if i am judging too hard but what he said about the four directions being elements is wrong it is not West = earth South = wtaer North = Air and East = fire. although it may be the belife of the Lakota tribe i too am a medicine man so i am NOT being ****** or Ethnocentric The four directions actually equal- North = earth South= fire West = Water and East = air however he is right about the medicine wheel though i have never thought about the colors on the wheel so he’s made me wise

Do you even know how much modern medicine is derived from herbal sources that came from indigenous peoples’ knowledge the world over?

Budguy68 on 4 May, 2007 at 5:22 am #

Yeah ok, lets all ban all modern medicines and just give everyone medicine wheels.
